One of the many perks of working as an influencer is being able to collaborate and network with so many people and brands from all walks of life. Putting that into consideration, it is SO important to leave a professional and lasting impression via the communication method we all rely on: email.

Sending a pitch email can be intimidating and many people are often sceptical about whether or not they should reach out to brands first. However, if you don’t already have a ton of experience working with brands yet, it can be extremely beneficial for you to reach out first. You really have nothing to lose and it’s a perfect way to get your name out there.

There are so many important details to include in your pitch email to help you stand out and better your chances of landing a collab. However, you also want to be sure to keep it short and straight to the point. Keep the tone warm and casual, but professional. Remember that PRs and brands receive hundreds of emails every day, so you want to make sure that you’re sending a pitch that you know will get a response.

Approach your pitch from the brand’s point of view. How can you make it so enticing for them that they have to say yes? Make it easier for them to say “yes” than “no.”
